VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES Volunteers needed after school:
Burlingame Intermediate after School Program is in need of volunteers to help with their program. They need high school students to supervise the homework and play sessions after school. You could do your homework while doing this. Even one day a week would be a big help for the staff at BIS. Earn your community volunteer hours between 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., sometimes you could come earlier too. Contact person: Consuelo M. Puccetti

Who should volunteer?
Our volunteers are as diverse as the community we serve, ranging in age from students to retired senior citizens. It is not necessary to have a teaching background. Patience, a love of children, and a desire to help are the primary factors that bring volunteers together with students in our program. Volunteer tutors work a minimum of one day (two hours) a week. Tutors are encouraged to volunteer as many days as their schedule and interest permits. Many of our volunteers commit four days a week! We greatly appreciate the gift of each hour.
