Mission Statement

The Mission of the Mills Viking Parent Teacher Organization is to provide parent volunteers and services to teachers, students and staff of MHS; to support the fundraising efforts of the "Your Fair Share Counts -- Mills Annual Fund" campaign; to educate and inform parents and the community about MHS; and to encourage involvement through PTO sponsored social activities.
 

Mills PTO Presidents' Message
 

Dear Parents,

It gives us great pleasure to welcome you to the 2011-2012 school year at Mills High School. We are your new Co-Presidents for the Mills Viking Parent-Teacher Organization (“PTO”) and we look forward to continuing the strong traditions that have been built over the years.

The Mills Viking PTO provides a vital link between parents, staff and administration to provide parent assistance and two-way communication between parents and the Mills staff. There are many ways to stay informed at Mills High School:

• Mills Viking PTO web page 
• Viking Voice - official PTO newsletter published online
• Regular email updates - sign up to receive school updates by sending your email address to Jean Joh, Acting Corresponding Secretary, at  jean_joh@yahoo.com

• Attend regular PTO meetings - currently scheduled for August 24, October 19, November 16, February 15, April, 18, and May 9.

We will kick off the new school year with the annual Pot Luck Dinner at 6:30 pm and PTO meeting at 7:30 pm on Wednesday, August 24th in the Mills Cafeteria . We encourage all parents, teachers and staff from the PTO, Mills Musical Arts Group (“MMAG”), Athletic Boosters and other school groups to join us.

All parents are needed to participate and volunteer at various events throughout the school year. To show we care about our children’s education, we urge you to join the PTO by completing the Mills Viking PTO Membership Form and return it to the PTO box in the school office. We also request that you kindly complete the Mills Mania Online Volunteer Form. Please volunteer to continue to make Mills one of the best high schools in the nation.

Last, but not least, kindly contribute to the Mills High School “Annual Fund”. This funding supports our teachers with additional necessary supplies, equipment and technologies to enhance students’ learning experience, allowing them to prepare for their future.
