2013 Iron Chef Champion NamedWith their eyes fixed upon immortalization on a golden plaque, ten talented teams competed in Mills High School's second Iron Chef Competition. This events gives students the opportunity to collaborate with fellow faculty members outside of the standard classroom environment. Mirroring "Iron Chef America" on the Food Network, teams have one hour to prepare an entrée and dessert using the secret ingredients provided. The competition was overlooked by the watchful eyes of the judges, who ensured that the strict guidelines were followed.
INAUGURAL VIKING IRON CHEFThe first Viking Iron Chef Competition at Mills was a great success. Special thanks to the Mills Video Crew and Millbrae TV for creating this documentary short of the epic culinary battle.

Mills Annual Fund 2012-13Dear Mills Families and Friends,
The 2012-2013 school year marks the fourth year of the Mills Annual Fund. The Mills Annual Fund is a direct request for support from Mills families and community members. Through the significant support of parents and our school community, Mills raised over $250,000 over the past three years. This year, our goal is to raise $325,000 with 100% participation from each Mills family. A contribution of $250 from each family will help us reach this goal. With the continued uncertainty of California’s education budget, we hope this year’s Annual Fund will be even more successful than past years.
Financial support raised through the Annual Fund campaign is intended to support school goals and is allocated and overseen by the Mills Site Council. Priorities for this year’s Annual Fund include:
In support of the Annual Fund, Mills and the Mills PTO are sponsoring Mills Mania on Friday, October 5th. Mills Mania is an after school event aimed at celebrating the Mills community and the tremendous support for our students and school. Click here for more information on Mills Mania!
This year, there are two ways for Viking supporters to contribute to the Annual Fund.
1) Students may bring donations to their 4th period class as part of the class competition.
2) Parents may bring or send donations directly to the Mills High School main office (credit for contributions will be credited to their students 4th period class).
Class competitions will run from September 17th through October 3rd. Please complete the Annual Fund Contribution Form and return to Mills High School or complete the form as part of your students 4th period Class Competition.
With your help, we can continue to strengthen our academic program and provide support for all students. Mills High School is one of the top public high schools in the United States and is a California Distinguished School. Please help us reach our goal of $325,000 by making a tax deductible contribution to the Mills Annual Fund. All contributions are welcome.
